From the Plei collection, which brings upcycled leather offcuts into play, the Sole bag blends innovation and artisanship. Made in France, the 240 pebble-like pearls are created using leather offcuts from other Polene collections. After being threaded onto waxed cotton, they are held in place by 120 hand-tied knots following a traditional macrame technique. This net-style bag is embellished with leather detailing for its stitched smooth leather base and handle. The name Sole is a play on the French word for sun, showcasing the summery vibe of this bag. The removable pouch is held in place with snap fasteners Polene-branded bag base Composition: Pebble-pearls made in France from upcycled leather offcuts. Waxed cotton threads. Certified smooth full-grain Italian calf leather on the handle and base. 100% recycled cotton removable interior pouch. Each pebble-pearl has a random marbling effect, making them unique. The manufacturing process, which involves the transformation of leather offcuts into pearls, intensifies the scent of the leather, which fades after a few uses. Allow the bag to air out outside of its dust bag between its first few uses. Do not spray scents on the bag. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct light or heat, and keep away from greasy substances and cosmetic products. The material is sensitive to water and moisture. If it gets wet, allow the bag to air dry, and avoid rubbing it against light-colored clothing.
